Edwards played with the Ottawa Fury from 14 years old until he went off to collage at Graceland University in Idaho. In 2006, while attending Graceland University, he won the national championship with the Yellow Jackets. Spending 4 years with the team before moving on to the Kansas City Wizards youth team, he then moved to FC Dallas in 2010. The next year he moved to the Puerto Rico Islanders and played with them for the 2011/12 season.
