The Puerto Rico Islanders FC officially announced today that they will play a friendly against FC Mayaguez tomorrow at 7.30 pm at Parque Isidoro Garcia de Mayaguez. The game will be part of the celebration of the Carnival & Tourism Fair in the city of Mayaguez.
"I want to thank the city of Mayaguez, the Department of Recreation and Sport, FPF, Department of Tourism of Puerto Rico, and Mayaguez FC for giving us the opportunity to connect with soccer fans across the island. We know about the tradition of soccer in Mayaguez, and invite all fans of the " Tropa Naranja " to come and partake in the soccer festivities," said General Manager Eduardo Carvacho.
Tickets for the friendly are only $5 at Parque Isidoro Garcia. The Islanders will travel to Blaine, Minnesota on Sunday, July 17, where they square off against the NSC Minnesota Stars in NASL action. They return to "the Islandera" to receive Fort Lauderdale Strikers on Wednesday July 20 at 8:00 pm.
