The Puerto Rico Islanders have acquired Aaron Pitchkolan from the Rhochester Rhinos (for an undisclosed transfer fee). Pitchkolan is a 6’2” defender/midfielder from Colorado that will bring great depth to the Islanders defense. From 2005-2009 he played for Major League Soccer (MLS) FC Dallas and was then transferred to San Jose Earthquakes in 2009. After a great performance in the MLS, Aaron joined the Rhinos in 2010 earning the USSF D-2 Regular Season Championship and recognized in the League’s Best XI.
“Aaron brings vast MLS experience to our team. He is a very talented defender who had a great season last year with Rochester and will be a very big asset to us this year”, said Islanders’ Head Coach Colin Clarke.
The Puerto Rico Islanders 2011 NASL season will begin on April 9 when they visit the Carolina Railhawks. The CFU Championship will initiate in Puerto Rico from April 12-14th when they will face the winner of Walking Boyz, Co of Surinam and Northern United All Stars of St. Lucia.
