Gregory Richardson, Alexis Rivera, Marco Vélez, and Scott Jones are currently recuperating from their injuries.
The Guyanese player Gregory Richardson injured his ankle in the away match of the quarterfinals of the Caribbean Football Union’s (CFU) club competition against the Walking Boyz Co on May 7th. He is expected to be back for the July 19th match in Bayamón against the Atlanta Silverbacks.
Defender Scott Jones is recuperating from a pulled right adductor after the CFU championship match in Guyana. Jones is currently undergoing therapies for his injury and is expected to return in approximately three weeks.
Puerto Rican defender Alexis Rivera is recovering from an operation to his fibula after suffering a fracture during the 2010 SuperCopa semifinals in December. Rivera has successfully recovered from his operation and is in the process of returning to playing fitness. He is expected to return during the next two weeks.
The other Puerto Rican defender, Marco Vélez, is recovering from a hip injury after receiving a treatment known as “Platelet-Rich-Plasma” to regenerate tissue using his own blood. Vélez recently began practicing again in order to return to playing fitness and rejoin the squad. He is expected to return in approximately three weeks.
