The Islanders will face Alpha United FC in the CFU Semis

The defending champions Puerto Rico Islanders will face host Alpha United FC in the CFU Club Champions Cup Semifinals on May 25th at 8:00pm at Guyana National Stadium.

 

Defence Force of Trinidad will face Tempete of Haiti in the other semifinal.

 

The Islanders have qualified for the CONCACAF Champions League for three consecutive years and earned their place in the CFU Club Champions Cup semis with a 7-0 victory over Walking Boyz of Suriname on Saturday at Bayamón.

 

Noah Delgado scored twice in the first nine minutes at Estadio Juan Ramón Loubriel, and the Islanders cruised to an 8-1 aggregate win.

 

The semifinal winners as well as the third-place victor will complete the 24-team CONCACAF Champions League field.

 

The qualified teams will learn their Preliminary Round and Group Stage opponents when CONCACAF conducts the draw for their 2011-2012 Champions League on Wednesday at its New York headquarters.
