The Puerto Rico Islanders kicked off their “Youth Club Spotlight” program, which gives soccer clubs in different communities around Puerto Rico the tools and motivation they need in order to work with the young members of their teams. This week this visited Naranjito FC.
“Its always good to go into a great community like Narajito and be able to participate with some great kids. ,” shared Islanders Fan Development Coordinator Caleb Norkus.
The Islanders' staff worked with kids from the Naranjito FC in a series of sessions that included warm-ups, other exercises and dynamics that helped the motivation and union of each of the club’s categories. The “Youth Club Spotlight” will continue to take place in communities all over the island.
"Naranjito FC were the perfect host, we were able to be interactive with the kids with an excellent training session lead by the staff, and we were even able to play a little pick up soccer with the parents,"said Islanders Direcotr of Communications.
Naranjito FC is led by Manuel Franco Rivera Alvardo and is dedicated to the development and training of children and developing soccer in the center of the Island. The club has many different categories, which include: baby soccer, U5, U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, It also has a U17 category and a superior team.
