Well!! Long time no speak, hahahaha!!
People may think that since we finished the season that everything just shuts down. I can assure you this is so far from the truth and the exact opposite. I am continuing to contact players' agents and other top teams to see what players may be available to join us for next season. Also behind the scenes there is the most fantastic staff behind me (Vanessa, Irma, Beatriz, Gabby, Silvia, Ignacio, Caleb, Héctor, Nelson). They are all going the extra yard in preparation for next season.
Recently, I hope you have seen we are encountering on a new theme of visiting soccer academies on the Island and had the great pleasure in joining Ignacio, Héctor, Caleb and Silvia over at Aguada with a team called Real Atlantic. It seemed like a long way to go but the pleasure the parents and children had proved to me this is why I love my job. On top of this, I was quietly informed that they had made the long journey from Aguada for our home opener this season, so if they could make time to do this, why not us.
These children are the future of Puerto Rican soccer and, if not professional footballers, just maybe following your team the Islanders to support us on top of the brilliant fans we have already. I missed one name out earlier and that is my assistant and good friend Jack Stefanowski. Jack and his wonderful wife Christel and daughter Lila have decided to return to New York for personal reasons and I can't stress how much he will be missed. He is a wonderful man and I love him dearly. He has been a true rock behind me and my door is open for him to return anytime when he wants to call by. Buena suerte to you and your family.
Well, that's it for now.
Speak to you soon,
