The Puerto Rico Islanders would like to invite all fans to join them for their season closing event this Tuesday, October 16 at Coaches in Roosevelt Ave. starting at 6:00 p.m.
The event doubles as fundraiser for the Soccer for You social responsibility program, which means all the money collected from entrance cover donations will go to the Susan G. Komen and Hogar Niñito Jesús foundations. Also, funds from articles to be auctioned like: autographed football used during the CONCACAF Champions League match against LA Galaxy, three 2012 season team jerseys and VIP experiences for the upcoming 2013 season will be donated to the foundations. The silent auction that will be announced during the event ends in December 15th and will include a painting of Islanders forward Jonathan Faña, a jersey signed by MLS champions LA Galaxy, among other articles.
Ex MLB player Carlos Baerga and musician Jerry Medina are some of the celebrities that will serve as bartenders for the night.
