Hola Todos!
The team fought hard on Wednesday night, but I can’t say we weren’t disappointed with the result in El Salvador. Yes, now we are down, but we are not out of it. It’s the beginning of the group stage where anything can happen. I know my players and I know they will fight until the very end. We win together and we lose together, and Sunday we will play The Islanders Way against the Scorpions
Jay has been a great leader on and off the field, and we would never hold him singularly accountable. Yes, he made a mistake but we wouldn’t tie him to the stocks and throw rotten tomatoes at him- we love and support him, as always, like brothers. All of the players have been absolutely brilliant for me since I’ve taken over and Jay is a prime example and role model for the team.
We are all looking forward to Sunday’s game against the league leaders. There is no better way to get over a tough Champions League loss than to show the first place team what the Puerto Rico Islanders are all about. What’s a suspension, injury, or jetlag? We want to play!
The Tropa Naranja is ready for a fight! We are ready to win! Vamos Vamos VAMOS!!!
