Match Preview: PR Islanders at Carolina Railhawks

The Puerto Rico Islanders and the Carolina Railhawks will face tonight at 7 p.m. in the opening of the inaugural NASL season at WakeMed Soccer Park, where the Orange Troops were crowned league champions in 2010 winning 3-1 on aggregate.

With Colin Clarke entering his 5th season as head coach, and the combination of 14 existing players and 10 new players, the Islanders have a solid squad ready to aim for back-to-back championships. 

The Islanders have faced the Railhawks 11 times in regular season games, with a record of 7 wins, 3 losses and 1 tie.  The Orange Troops regular season record in 2010 was 9-11-10 and 37 points while the Railhawks finished the regular season with a 13-9-8 record and 47 points.

David Foley was the goals leader for the Islanders with 9 goals, and Etienne Barbara for the Railhawks with 8.
