The Islanders continue on to Tampa Bay to take on the Rowdies Saturday, July 21, 7:30 p.m. at Al Lang Stadium.  The Islanders are currently 2^nd in the NASL with 28 points but the 3^rd place Rowdies are not far behind with 27. As always, fans can watch the game at the Islanders' Watch Party in Coladas Fine Puerto Rican Cuisine and Frozen Drink Bar at Verdanza Hotel in Isla Verde, starting at 7:00 p.m. 

“The teams had a good weeks training leading up to Tampa. We polished up on some of the things needed to work on while we play away from home. We are dealing with some injuries to key players and I will not rush them back to lose them for a longer period of time. We are deep enough and good enough to go out here and get three points,” said Head Coach Adrian Whitbread.

 SERIES HISTORY

 The Islanders have taken all 6 points from their previous two matches against the Rowdies. Both of these matches were played at Bayamon Soccer Complex and were won by the scores of 1-0 and 2-0. This encounter, as well as the final match between the teams on August 25^th, will take place at Al Lang Stadium.

 SCOUTING THE ROWDIES

 The Rowdies sit tailgating the Islanders in the NASL table. Their total of 27 is only one point less than the Puerto Rican club. Luke Mulholland grabbed an 89^th minute winner for the Rowdies against FC Edmonton. Tsuyoshi Yoshitake is an ever present danger in attack. Daniel Antoniuk and Mike Ambersley are also producing offensively.

ISLANDERS LAST TIME OUT

 The Islanders’ struggles away from home continued in a disappointing 2-1 loss to Atlanta. Several key players such as Richard Martinez, Jonathan Faña and David Foley missed the match due to minor injuries.

STRONG ISLANDERS

 Jarad van Schaik is the only other player in the NASL next to the two Rowdies to this point who has featured in every minute for his club. Jay Needham is also a constant figure in the defense, only having missed one game. One of Needham’s partners at the back line, Richard Martinez, has logged over 1,300 minutes.

 KEEPER SHOWDOWN

 Islanders’ goalkeeper Richard Martin has continued his strong play between the posts in his last matches. He has maintained his GAA at the 1.00 mark and has notched 60 saves. He comes up against another keeper in fine form. Jeff Attinella leads the NASL with 76 saves and posts an GAA of 1.24.
