Islanders prepare for NASL season opener in North Carolina

The Puerto Rico Islanders are only a few days away from kicking-off the inaugural NASL season when they face the Carolina RailHawks on Saturday April 9that 7:00 PM/ET at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina. The game on Saturday against the RailHawks will be a rematch of last year’s USSF Division 2 championship where the Islanders were crowned league champions for the first time in club history. This will be the first major test of 2011 for the new Islanders squad.

The ‘Tropa Naranja’ will have their home opener on April 26 against the NSC Minnesota Stars at the Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium, also known as ‘La Islandera’.
