The Puerto Rico Islanders are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder/forward Jarad vanSchaik for the 2011 NASL season, CFU Club Championship, and eventually the CONCACAF Champions League.

Jarad joins the Puerto Rico Islanders after a successful season with the University of Portland in the NCAA Division 1.  The four-year starter and two-time All-West Coast Conference First Team selection concluded his career on The Bluff with 14 goals and 14 assists for 40 points in 77 games (70 starts).

"Jarad is a skilled player that will bring depth to our midfield.  He is very good offensively and we are very happy to have him on our team", said Islanders assistant coach Adrian Whitbread.
