Islanders Ink GarcĂa
Posted on Thu, Jun 14, 2012

The Puerto Rico Islanders announced today the signing of Domincan International César García. Per Club policy, the Islanders did not reveal the terms of the agreement.

"It gives us great pleasure to announce the signing of César García. He is a young and hungry player who has already played for his National Team, the Dominican Republic. He is a teammate of Jonathan Faña who brought him to my attention. It adds more depth to our defense, especially with the loss of Jaime Cunningham and I look forward to him pushing the other players" said Head Coach Adrian Whitbread.

Just 19 years of age, García has already played for the senior Dominican National Team. García, formed in Jarabacoa, was named the best Dominican soccer player in 2011. With this signing the Islanders now have 13 players that have represented their National Teams.
