Children of the St. John Bosco Salesian Oratory of the Cantera Peninsula football team enjoyed an afternoon full of clinics and surprises with players of the Puerto Rico Islanders FC. As part of social responsibility program Soccer For You, about 40 children gathered to enjoy their afternoon with half of the roster of the Puerto Rico Islanders. The children received a donation of uniforms and equipment, which included shirts, shorts, socks and soccer balls, among other things. The donation made by the Club is worth $5.000.00.
Most of these children come from low income families. Every season they find it difficult to afford their uniforms and play equipment. It has been the PR Islanders FC’s commitment to help those children in need who desire to play and love the sport of soccer. Since last season, the Islanders have had a close relationship with the children to whom they dedicated the second game this season. Now it is time for these children to enjoy their uniforms in their upcoming games.
