Islanders Travel to San Antonio for First Ever Scorpions' Home Game

The Puerto Rico Islanders travel to San Antonio for the first ever home game in Scorpions' history at Heroes Stadium.  The Islanders are coming off a shorthanded victory over the Tampa Bay Rowdies, 1-0 at Bayamon Soccer Complex. The Scorpions drew their first home game against the Atlanta Silverbacks.  Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.  You can watch the game live on www.prislandersfc.com.

About the Islanders

The Islanders came away with a 1-0 victory in their home opener against the Tampa Bay Rowdies. Both teams had plenty of opportunities but came away empty handed in the first half. Puerto Rico would go a man down after an aggressive tackle by Jaime Cunningham. The only goal of the match arrived at the 68th minute when an through ball reached Addlery and put the Islanders ahead 1-0  and three points.

About San Antonio

Playing in front of a sellout crowd of 5,000 fans, the Scorpions played their first NASL game and withstood the Silverbacks attack in the first half. Scorpions Goalkeeper Pat Hannigan dealt well with the Silverbacks offense, which included World Cup veteran Danilo Turcios.
