Islanders defeat U. Turabo for the second time in three days.

The Puerto Rico Islanders continued their hot streak in their pre-season matchups by defeating the University of Turabo 5-0 during Friday night at the Bayamon Soccer Complex. The Islanders started off the Bayamon Pre-Season Cup with the right foot with 4 goals, including a very impressive goal in a one-on-one versus the Turabo’s goalie, scored by Forward Jonathan Faña.

Puerto Rico’s own Joseph “Jackie Marrero” added a goal of his own, his first with the Islanders Club, to cap off the shutout for the Islanders versus the University of Turabo. The Islanders have outscored the University of Turabo 13-0  during their last two matches.

The Islanders are now 4-0-1 during the preseason, outscoring its opponents 22-3(Check real results) . They will now face the winner of the Bayamon FC and PR Under-20 National Team on Sunday, March 25th at 6:00 p.m. in the Championship game. Don’t forget this Sunday is the Puerto Rico Islanders “Open Day”, where fans can enjoy time with the players, Coaches and front office.
