“This morning I had the pleasure of being at my first Soccer 101 activity. Its great to see Orlando Torres the Director of Fan Devolopment, and Coach Cornejo of Baymon FC, interact and teach these kids the basics of soccer. Its was great to see the smiles on their faces, I could tell they loved playing soccer even though some of the kids were playing for the first time. I look forward to seeing them again whether coaching them in the Soccer 101 program or at our home games, said Head Coach Adrian Whitbread.
The Puerto Rico Islanders' front office as well as the Bayamon FC coaching staff were teaching the kids the fundamentals of soccer. The students participated in basic passing drills, kicking drills, and exercise designed help teach them how to work as a team.
