Ten players from the Puerto Rico Islanders have been called up to be part of their countries national team during the CONCACAF 2014 World Cup Qualifiers. The Orange Troop becomes the club with the most amount of players on national teams in the NASL, who look for their ticket to World Cup Brazil 2014.
Alexis Rivera, Héctor Ramos, Scott Jones, Marco Vélez, Petter Villegas, Richard Martínez, Tyler Wilson and Noah Delgado were called up for the Puerto Rico National Team match against St. Kitts & Nevis this Friday, October 7th at Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium, home of the Islanders. The Puerto Ricans are in group D with Canada, St. Kitts & Nevis and St. Lucia.
Also, Osei Telesford will be representing Trinidad & Tobago, while Jonathan Faña will be representing Dominican Republic during the CONCACAF 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
