The Puerto Rico Islanders look to continue its unbeaten streak against FC Edmonton this Tuesday at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium. The Islanders are coming off a dramatic win at home against Edmonton extend their winning streak to five. The "Orange Troop" will celebrate Noche de Bayamón where all soccer fans will be given free admission. Kick of is set for 7:30.
About the Islanders
The Islanders are the only undefeated team at home in the NASL. Puerto Rico is currently in riding a six game winning streak and have only lost one out of their last 15 games. Last Saturday they beat FC Edmonton in dramatic fashion with Jay Needham scoring in stoppage time. The Islanders are currently in second place in the NASL with 44 points, seven points behind the first place Carolina Railhawks. Puerto Rico has already clinched a playoff berth.
About FC Edmonton
Edmonton lost to the Islander their last time out. FC Edmonton is currently tied for fourth with the NSC Minnesota Stars in the NASL, just one point ahead of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. Minnesota, Fort Lauderdale, and Edmonton all lost their last time out. Currently four teams fighting for the last three playoff spots.
Noche de Bayamon
The Puerto Rico Islanders will celebrate “La Noche de Bayamon”, this Tuesday, August 30th at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium. All Islanders fans get in FREE courtesy of the City of Bayamon. The Orange Troop will face FC Edmonton for the second time in four days. Kick off is set for 7:30pm.
