The Puerto Rico Islanders will celebrate “La Noche de Bayamon”, this Tuesday, August 30th at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium. All Islanders fans get in FREE courtesy of the City of Bayamon. The Orange Troop will face FC Edmonton for the second time in four days. Kick off is set for 7:30pm.
“The City of Bayamon and Mayor Luis Rivera JR, have made a tremendous effort to support the team this season. We want to celebrate that we are unbeaten at home and what better way to do it than opening the gates to ALL our fans. Everyone gets in free on Tuesday, August 30th when we play FC Edmonton. Our goal is to fill "La Islandera,” said Che Perez, Director of Sales and Promotions of the PR Islanders FC.
The PR Islanders FC, which are still unbeaten at home during this 2011 season, are in second place in the NASL with 44 points, seven points behind the Carolina Railhawks. The Orange Troop has already clinched a playoff berth. Edmonton FC is currently in fourth place with 29 points, tied with the NSC Minnesota Stars.
