“The team looked sluggish the first 20 minutes into the game, maybe because we’ve had lots of tough games lately and we’ve travelled around a lot. But we certainly owe a lot to our fans that are always there for us. We couldn’t have done this without you guys. We’re just 9 points behind the Carolina Railhawks, so the next game against them is pretty important if we wish to get closer to them in the standings. We’re certainly giving the next game our best shot.” Added the Islanders’ head coach, Colin Clark. The Puerto Rico Islanders face the Carolina Railhawks in a rematch of the USSF-D2 championship last year, which the Islanders won, on August 13.
