Islanders crowned Caribbean Champions for the second consecutive year

The Puerto Rico Islanders became the first team in over a decade to win back-to-back titles of the Caribbean Football Union after beating Tempete FC of Haiti 3-1 at Provience Stadium in Guyana in the CFU final.

The 'Tropa Naranja will face Isidro Metapán of El Salvador in the CONCACAF Champions League (CCL) Preliminary Fase.  The first leg will be played between the 16th and 18th of July and the second leg between August 2-4.  Given the Islanders win the series against Isidro Metapán they will go through to the Group Stage in CCL's Group B against Colorado Rapids of the Major Leagues Soccer (MLS), Real España of Honduras, and the winner of Santos Laguna of Mexico vs. Olimpia of Honduras.
